DOUBLE BARREL or “TWIST” MACHINE:
Our twist machine is so much fun! It does require special accommodations though. We want your event to be a huge success and with the issues that the size, weight and power inflict we need to make sure you are ready. This Machine must be double strapped inside an enclosed trailer. It is most important that it be securely strapped in a little over 3 feet up, where most of the weight is. You will need ramps to get it loaded and unloaded. The machine is on Castors. Below are some bullets detailing items pertaining to the machine and also contain information we need your assistance with.
Our Taylor 168 Soft Serve machine is not small or lightweight. Our 168 is odd enough in height and weighs in over 300 pounds! This presents its own set of difficulties. Tipping the machine can cause costly internal Damage. Do Not tip over! If the Terrain has steps, grass or other hindrances, You MUST provide 2-3 strong people to assist with moving the machine. It is strongly suggested that you look at the path to where you want the machine during your event. There are two major obstacles that can cause stress. The first is the terrain it will be crossing and the second is the power source. Unfortunately, both must be addressed to ensure success.
– The machine needs 220-volt, 20 amp, grounded power sources. We have a 40 Foot 220 volt cord that works in the vast majority of homes and other venues. Some accommodations can be made to connect to power sources with a 220-volt outlet, please ask us at least 5 business days in advance to help you determine if your 220 outlet matches the cord end. Give yourself 2 hours to get the machine up and running. Please evaluate your power sources and address this in detail before your event to make sure that the ice cream machine will work in your selected venue and at the location you desire. Please call us to discuss any additional questions. No adjustments or credits to your charges will be made if the machine is not up and running by the start time of your event
– Terrain is a big part of setting up these machines. Please plan for solid ground to move either of these to where you would like it. Moving these across grass, woodchips, up or down slopes and other landscape features causes severe strain on those moving the machine
– The ice cream will be servable in about 10-15 minutes after the machine setup is complete. Ideally the machine makes 3 ice cream cones per minute per side.
– After use, you will need to rinse COOL water through the machine and wipe down the outside with a damp cloth before returning it. A cleaning fee will be charged at our sole discretion if the machine is not adequately cleaned and rinsed. Do not break it down to clean it! We will take it apart and completely sanitize the machine before it is rented out again. A $50 cleaning fee will be issued for machines returned that have not been properly rinsed and cleaned. (Final rinsing water MUST come out clear, NOT MILKY, to avoid cleaning charge.)
